2020 Nissan Pathfinder

The all-new Nissan Pathfinder is being hailed as a “next-generation SUV”. With a spacious interior and innovative technological capabilities, it is a vehicle which allows for possibilities and inspires a sense of adventure. The car’s chic modern design and luxurious interior speak to a driving experience that isn’t all about the destination: it should also be about the ride.

In the new Nissan Pathfinder, Perth families will find a vehicle that caters well to their day to day needs while also enabling comfortable road-trips and adventurous holidays. A spacious interior and a generous towing capacity make the Nissan Pathfinder flexible for any lifestyle, and up for any adventure.

So what exactly makes the new Nissan Pathfinder so desirable?

Flexible space for any lifestyle

The Nissan Pathfinder is a seven-seater, but unlike rival vehicles, it achieves the seven seats while still having generous legroom for each of the comfortable adult-sized theatre-style seats.

The EZ Flex seating system makes the interior easy to rearrange and customise to suit your needs.  When the back seats are folded, the Pathfinder has an extraordinary 2,259 litres of cargo space. Whether you need to carry lots of luggage or require all seven seats to transport the kids and their friends, you can make the Nissan Pathfinder work for you.

Generous towing capacity

One of the stands out features of the new Nissan Pathfinder is its braked towing capacity of up to 2700kg with a torque of 340 Nm. Much more capable than similar SUVs in the market, the Nissan Pathfinder’s towing capacity allows you to hitch up a boat, trailer or caravan and tow with ease.

Tow mode is designed to make pulling a heavy load safe and efficient. When accelerating uphill, the Transmission Control Module (TCM) helps maintain engine RPM in a high torque range. When braking or driving downhill, the (TCM) strengthens braking and helps control speed.

The option of a hybrid engine

The Nissan Pathfinder is the first Nissan Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) to make it to Australia, and it is a truly groundbreaking vehicle. Available on some models of the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder, the hybrid engine combines electric and fuel elements to get the right balance between power, fuel economy and reduced emissions.

Five-star safety rating

If you’re going to use any vehicle with your family, it had better be equipped with the very best safety features to keep your loved ones safe. The new Nissan Pathfinder is built just for that and comes with a range of intuitive safety technologies.

Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies help you keep aware and confident on the road. Radars detect any potential collisions and send a warning to the driver. Meanwhile, Intelligent Emergency Braking kicks in to help prevent any collisions. When driving on multiple laned roads, Blind Spot warning will signal the driver if a vehicle is detected in their blind spot. If you’re reversing, Rear Cross Traffic Alert watches for objects or vehicles behind the car, that you might not otherwise notice.

Choose a design that speaks to you

With six sophisticated colour options and three choices of material for the interior, the Nissan Pathfinder can be tailored in a way that appeals to you. The 2020 release is chic and modern with fender flares, 20 inch alloy wheels on the Ti model, and attractive black trim. The interior is classy and sophisticated, no matter if you go for the black leather, cloth or ivory leather.

Intelligent 4X4

For four-wheel-drive models of the Nissan Pathfinder, the Intelligent 4X4 intuitive system has the standard 2WD and 4WD modes, but also an Auto Mode which constantly monitors the road conditions and adjusts accordingly. For variable terrains, the Auto Mode will adjust the power between the front and rear wheels to achieve optimal traction.

Additionally, if you are travelling on steep inclines or declines, the Nissan Pathfinder helps make the drive easier and safer. Hill Start Assist helps prevent you from rolling backwards when starting and driving up an incline. Hill Descent Control lets you keep your attention on finding the best path down a slope by automatically controlling your speed and brake pressure.

2020 Nissan Pathfinder trim levels (grades)

The new Nissan Pathfinder has four grades: ST, ST+, ST-L and Ti. All have automatic transmission, and an engine size of either 3.5 or 2.5 Litres. You can choose a two wheel drive or four wheel drive option for each of the grades. Below we will look into the standout features of each.

Pathfinder ST

The ST grade is packed with amazing features including intelligent cruise control, Hill Start Assist, reversing camera with predictive path technology and EZ Flex seating system. Of course, you will also find the suite of safety technology such as Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Intelligent Emergency Braking.

Pathfinder ST+

The ST+ grade comes with all the standard features of the ST plus Intelligent Around View Monitor that can detect moving objects 360 degrees around the vehicle. Satellite navigation with traffic monitoring is also included on ST+ and higher grades.

Pathfinder ST-L

In addition to those included in the ST+ grade , ST-L comes with a huge range of features that improve the overall driving experience. Heated front seats, an 8-way adjustable driver seat with lumbar support and leather accented seat trims make for a very comfortable drive. The ST-L offers amazing sound quality with a Bose audio system, as well as a front sunroof and panoramic glass roof.

Pathfinder Ti

On top of those listed for the ST-L, the Pathfinder Ti offers luxurious features that make it the cream of the crop. From heated rear seats to a tri-zone entertainment system with wireless headphones, the Ti is a vehicle that will keep every passenger happy. Also, the Ti can be started remotely, for those extra hot days on which you want to cool down the car before hopping in.
