Pricing and Spec Announced for 2017 Nissan Navara
It’s time to get your Nissan finance organised, as the pricing and specification have now been announced for the Navara Series 2. The Series 2 has introduced an “SL” model grade and includes a number of updates to the dual cab suspension package.
The New Nissan Navara:
The latest in the Nissan Navara range is considered to be unique. The reason for this is that it uses a five link coil sprung set up for the suspension on the rear of the dual cab models. The other variants in the range have retained their conventional leaf design. This application of car like design for the rear suspension aims to bring a new level of ride comfort to the ute. Nissan has been listening to dealer and customer feedback to fuel these upgrades including the introduction of the new suspension components. The model also has new rear and front shock absorbers, rear rebound dampers and rear coil springs to create more refined handling and improved ride. The changes have improved lateral stability and enhanced handling, particularly when carrying a load. The improvements are said to be due to “extensive local testing,” which could be a response to consumer feedback from the June launch last year when the models offered had no significant suspension tuning for the local market.
The Nissan Navara SL:
Apart from the mechanical changes, the Series 2 also features a fleet focused 4×4 dual cab variant. The new SL will slot into the lineup between the RX and the more higher spec ST, with the ST-X still sitting at the top of the range. The SL is based on the RX, but it gains several features including a 2.3 litre twin turbo 140kW diesel engine, a reverse camera, sat nav, NissanConnect system, and a wide body design. The SL dual cab is available with a seven speed automatic or six speed manual transmission.
Of course, the most important information for most drivers as it will directly impact their Nissan car finance is the new pricing structure. All of the retail prices released for the cab chassis variants are without a tray and will involve other on the road costs. At the entry level, the single cab petrol DX 4×2 will be available for $19,490 and the DX 4×4 diesel is $31,990. The RX variants range from $25,990 for the single cab, 4×2 diesel manual through to the 4×4 diesel manual king cab at $36,990. The ST variant is available from $43,990 for the king cab 4X$ diesel. The dual cab variants start at $26,490 for the 4×2 manual petrol DX. Sitting at the top of the range is the ST-X dual cab, 4X4 automatic diesel, which is a new grade at $54,490.
